Geothermal Energy refers to energy that can be harnessed from the heat of the Earth and used as a clean Geothermal Home Heating renewable energy source with many applications. Geothermal home heating is processed through the use of geothermal heat pumps. In winter the temperature below the surface up to 10 feet below, remains constant between 50-60 degrees, while in summer the ground cools as the air above heats up. This can be taken advantage of to heat and cool buildings.

A Geothermal heat pump comprises of a ground heat exchanger a heat pump and an air delivery system. The heat exchanger is a system of loops that is buried underground close to the building that will be getting supplied geothermal energy. Water and antifreeze is pumped through the pipes and used to pump hot water to the building and then pump it back to the heat source to re-heat the water.
