This course will provide a qualification that will
allow you to become a trainer/teacher of IT.

An EDI (JEB) qualification can lead to employment with a Further Education College, a training organisation or within the training department of a company.

The
EDI (JEB ) Teaching Dip in ICT is a professional course of study, delivered part-time and designed for those who wish to become IT tutors and trainers. Prior Information & Communication Technology (ICT) teaching or training experience is not necessary, but the desire to teach is recommended.
Course Content
To gain the Diploma you will need to complete:
- the generic teaching module;
Education Principles and Practice (EPP)
- the specialist ICT teaching module;
Education Practice: ICT Skills (ICTS)

Note: Exemption from EPP is given to you if you hold a recognised teaching qualification.
Course Duration
We have 2 course options:
- Evening Course - Weekly evening from 7 - 10 pm (not available st moment)
- Saturday Course - Every 3rd Sat from 10 am - 3 pm (available)
Course Fee
The course fee is €1100 payable on commencement. There are exam fees also of £165 Stg.
Requirements
Candidates must hold the ECDL certificate or
equivalent and have some former experience
of using computer applications.
Exemption from the Principles of Teaching
can be obtained for candidates who hold a
teaching qualification
Timetable
Every 3rd Saturday, 10 am - 3 pm, Commencing Sat 28th November2009 & finishing July 2010.
